The daily meals of enlisted sailors in the Polish navy according to a CIA report dated 8 October 1951

An item that on board of Polish warships especially the smaller ones which were lacking refrigerating facilities the meals supplied to the crews seemed to qualified as poor. For an enlisted sailor consisted the daily standard of 900 grams bread, 700 grams potatoes, 15 grams corn meal, 40 grams macaroni, 130 grams groats, 75 grams fats, 275 grams fresh meat, 165 grams sausage, 80 grams sugar, 250 grams fresh vegetables (although rarely available), 30 grams marmalade, 9,5 grams salt and pepper and finally 8 grams cigarettes although the latter was alone on board supplied.
